Bay Area Legal Receives IOTA Funds from FFLA

On December 8, 2023, the board of directors of Funding Florida Legal Aid (FFLA, formerly known as the Florida Bar Foundation) approved the distribution of $33.8 million of Interest on Trust Accounts (IOTA) funds to Florida legal aid organizations. Under the 2023 amended IOTA rule, this total is roughly four times larger than last year's.

Through this funding, Bay Area Legal Services was granted $2,489,072 - one of the highest amounts granted amongst all qualified legal aid organizations this fiscal year.

For more information, see the FFLA's Press Release.

FFLA is an important funder to Bay Area Legal Services and we are grateful for their support.
