Timothy G. Anderson Sr.
From 1975 until his untimely death in 2019, Tim devoted his professional life to representing injured accident victims as a trial lawyer in courtrooms across Florida. He was one of a handful of lawyers that tried in excess of 300 jury trials.
Tim was a founding partner of Anderson & Anderson Personal Injury Attorneys. He spent the first year of his law career defending insurance companies before he began exclusively representing individuals injured by the negligence of others. Tim was lead counsel in hundreds of personal injury trials and was Board Certified by the Florida Bar in the field of Civil Trial Practice since 1983.
Tim received a variety of recognitions across his accomplished career. He was recognized as a Top 100 Lawyer by the invitation-only National Trial Lawyers and was selected for inclusion as a “Super Lawyer.” He was also included in Tampa Bay Magazine as one of Tampa Bay’s top lawyers and held the highly prestigious AV preeminent rating by Martindale Hubbell. In 2013, Tim was recognized by the Florida Bar as one of only 221 outstanding lawyers in the entire state of Florida who had achieved 30 or more years of continuous board certification. And in 2015, he was awarded the prestigious “Lawyer to Legacy” as an Eagle Legend, exemplifying the legacy established by the Florida Justice Association founders.
Highly involved in the legal community, Tim held professional memberships including The Florida Bar, American Association for Justice, Florida Justice Association, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, and Master of the American Inns of Court. Having served in the United States Army before law school, he was also a member of the American Legion Post 273, Madeira Beach, as well as Palma Ceia Lodge 290 F. & A.M. and the Egypt Shrine in Tampa.
Tim maintained a personal policy of mentoring younger attorneys. He frequently lectured and provided expert testimony in matters involving personal injury and insurance law. It was one of the greatest privileges of his career to work alongside his son, Tim Jr., for over 11 years.
